we at darph/nadeR have begun our very first CONTEST!!!
here's the rules and info!!!:

the darph/nadeR Horror Movie Contest!!!

Yep, that's right - we here at darph/nadeR headquarters are having a silly little contest, with some possibly interesting prizes to be had! first off, the Contest. we want you, the reader of this message, to e-mail us the title of their No.1 Favorite Horror Movie that fits under our little set of rules, stated below (PLEASE no mySpace messages, just e-mail us at: darphnader_noise@yahoo.com ! we want a more *reliable* way to get ahold of you other than mySpace). we at darph/nadeR (that's me, Cory, and Jared) will - after the below deadline - watch all of the movies suggested. as soon as we can after watching all of the given films, we will determine a First Place Winner and a Second Place Winner. what decides the winning, of course, is our selection of our Top 2 Favorites out of the whole bunch. if we get enough suggestions we might come up with a 3rd Place Winner Prize, as well, but we'll see how that goes.
Here are the stupid PRIZES:
First Place Winner recieves a personally recorded darph/nadeR CDr album. that means no one will be able to get this album except you, the First Place Winner. now, this may not sound like a big deal or anything, but that's what we got and that's what you get, you lucky Horror Fan, you!
Second Place Winner recieves a personally recorded darph/nadeR 3" CDr. just like the First Place Prize, this recording will be yours only if you win Second Place. it's like the First Place Prize except shorter.
Now for the RULES:
(Yeah, there are a couple of Rules, sadly enough. but, this won't work without these 'guidelines'...........)
RULE ONE: the Horror Movie you suggest MUST be available to either rent at our local indie video store (we have a reliably awesome one here in Santa Rosa), available from Netflix (if you're not a Netflix member i'm pretty sure you can still search and browse through their titles), or otherwise available in a way that we *might* be able to purchase. we're somewhat willing to purchase the film if need be, but we're going to keep that to a very low minimum, so if your Horror title is something usually only available through purchase get in touch right away. it's first come first serve, as far as buying the movie goes, and the chance will run out very fast. we just don't have that much money.......or any money, really - but we'll make this work as best we can!
RULE TWO: you MUST provide as much information about the film as you can. an IMDB or Amazon link would do nicely, but give us what you can, especially with the more cultish underground stuff. don't be afraid if you don't know too much about the film aside from watching it, just give us anything or even just the film's title. we'll see what we can do from there!
RULE THREE: you MUST e-mail us your Horror Movie title by 11:59PM (Pacific) on June 27th, 2008. any titles sent in later than the given deadline will NOT be considered for this contest.
SO, that's about it! we might have to update this Contest depending on what happens, but we'll try and keep it as close to this set-up as possible! get in touch as soon as you can!
